Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241230 rel.20267

I just got a new BE550 and i'm having a problem with the 6ghz network, and that feature was the reason i purchased this router.

I got two different pcs compatible with 6E, a laptop with the Mediatek MT7922 and a desktop that has integrated wifi with the RZ608 adapter. On both i have the same problem, the 6ghz network is not showing, tried different settings on both laptop and router and i can't make it work. Both have windows 11, everything is updated. I don't know what else to try.

The only other device i have with 6E is my Galaxy S23 and it works fine with 6ghz on it.

On the router is 6GHz enabled and is the SSID set for broadcast?

On the computers do they see any other 6 GHz networks in the area?

  @Carl Yes, 6Ghz is enabled and the SSID is set for broadcast, there are no other 6Ghz networks around me so i can't test it.

Yesterday i was able to connect to the 6Ghz network with the laptop but today when i turned it on again i got the problem again, could be a problem with the Mediatek drivers in both pcs? Or a Windows problem?

I contacted Asus (the laptop manufacturer) but the support wasn't helpful at all and Asrock (the motherboard manufacturer) didn't even respond.

  @MEM115

Archer defaults to 320 Mhz channel width on the 6 Ghz network which is only supported by WiFi 7. Lower it to 20/40/80/160 Mhz width to be compatible with WiFi 6e.
