After manually updating my powerline adapters to the latest in: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/553172?page=1

I now find myself with two of my adapters having the same MAC address. This means one for some reason has the MAC address of the other. This makes it not work with any other device in the powerline network.

I have read the guide on how to turn on Bootloader mode and change MAC address, but even after uploading a firmware with the correct MAC address, it keeps the duplicate one. Can somebody help me?
