Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have a AX1500 Router that when Comcast replaces the modem, all communication to the router stops. yes, we have rebooted the router, verified subnet settings, no static IP's, Comcast modem has internet. Cannot even log into Web management UI - fails to communication. Cannot ping the gateway IP. The lights are on the router as expected. The only fix that works is to hard reset the router and configure as a new setup. This has happen twice. And yes, exact same issue as described above. I have updated firmware the first time to the latest and the issue still happened the second time. It seems the router settings are blown out just because of change to the device connected on the WAN Port. I think it is a faulty router. This router is only about a year old.

Firmware Version: 1.3.10 Build 20240130 Rel. 77367(5553)
Hardware Version: Archer AX10 v2.0

you need to power off and unplug both the modem and router. Wait 5-10 min, then plug in and  power up the modem, wait a bit then plug in the router and power it up.

Most  install instructions for most routers have you power off and unplug the modem.

I appreciate your response, however I am a System Engineer. These steps are fundamental steps that I have already done. I know to boot up modem first and then the router. I do not believe you understand the issue. The issue is I could not access the INTERNAL IP address to manage the router. This has nothing to do with boot order. I also removed CAT6 connection between router WAN and internet modem. Rebooted the router and still no access to the internal IP - the router management UI. This seems to be a breakdown of the firmware. Keep in mind, my first post stated I updated the firmware during the first incident - no issue change and it ha

Did you set your router's IP to dynamic assuming this is a home router for xfinity.
