Network speeds significantly reduced when using M9 Plus in Access Point mode
I had been using my M9 Plus in Router mode on a Comcast network. I changed my ISP to Kinetic Fiber which has a seperate modem and router, compared to the Comcast modem/router combo. The Kinetic router works much better than the Comcast modem/router combo so I would like to use the two Deco units that I have to extend the Kinetic network to reach lower speed spots on the second floor. When I configure the Deco to AP mode and connect them to the Kinetic router, (main unit wired and right next to the router, second unit upstairs connected wireless), I get great speeds on the first floor, but significantly slower speeds on the second floor, where I assume I am going through the second Deco unit. When connected in router mode previously, I had good speeds throughout the house on both floors. I think that I may have conflicting networks, as I can still see my old network that was set up on the Deco and my new network set up on the Kinetic router. I have been unsuccessful at disabling the old Deco network. What am I missing?
