Hi,

My issue is not with the hardware but rather the Android app. I am not able to change any setting in the app unless I first open it, then kill it and delete the cache. If I do not.do that when I press "save" for a new sitting it just spins for 30 seconds and tells me setting can't be saved at this time. This is very annoying so I hope it can be fixed. I'm on Android 14

Having the same issue. Cannot reboot, cannot split 2.4ghz/5ghz, cannot update. Have to kill app and clear cache to do anything. App and Deco both latest version.

@cdysthe I'm having the same problem with the XE75 Pro that I purchased and installed yesterday, February 12, 2025.

It's been 14 hours since my XE75 Pro 3-Pack arrived and it's been quite a struggle installing them. The initial setup of the Main and the first wireless Access Point were relatively easy to accomplish. I then spent 7 1/2 hours, including about 1 hour on the phone with TP-Link technical support (Thanks Nathaniel) trying to coax the second AP in establishing a wireless, and then an ethernet connection to the Main. Things seemed good. Then, during the 11th hour, I came here after discovering that I can't:

  1. Enable 6 GHz Network.
  2. Access the DHCP Server settings.
  3. Change the DNS server addresses (To use Cloudflare with paid subscription)
  4. Enable/Register DDNS.
  5. Enable UPNP (To enable remote access to Plex Media Server and Website Server)

6. Enable IPv6

7. Enable IoT Network

8. Connect to the devices using the "Http uboot web-based interface".

8. Backup my network configuration

I can access and change most, but not all of the settings, but then can't save them with the displayed of messages stating failures and the prompt to discard the changes.

I assume that there are other such limitations, but those are the settings that I need and can't enable/access.

System components:

3 X Deco XE75 Pro US/2.6 - Firmware version 1.2.11 Build 202407724 Rel. 38913

The Deco app is version 3.8.205 installed on a Google Pixel 7 running Android 15 Build AP4A.250205.002.

Cable internet service provided by Spectrum using a Spectrum ModelE31U2V1 Cabel Modem, H/W Version 2.72.3, P/N U10C135.50

Over the past five years, I've installed 7 home LANs for friends and relatives using only TP-Link routers, two using the XE75, and two using XE75 Pros, and have never encountered the difficulties that I am with my own installation as an upgrade to my LAN. All of the other installations were with older versions of firmware and the Deco App which I now presume are the cause of the problems I've encountered.I'd thought of downgrading the installation of the firmware to an older version, but can't access the Deco units with a direct ethernet connection between a Windows 10 PC and any of the units using a static IP and a browser to try to connect to the IP address of 192.168.0.1 per Http uboot web-based interface.

I'm going to contact TP-Link support one more time, and monitor this community for perhaps a few days, but at this point I'm leaning toward throwing in the towel, returning the XE75 Pro's to Amazon, and returning to the use of a TP-Link AX5400 Multi-Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router while searching for a product that would actually work to fit our needs.

@LKMcMillen My XE75's works just fine. It's the Android app that has a problem. If I want to change a setting with the app the only way to get the new settings saved is to kill the app on the phond, clear the app cache and open it again. Then I can save new settings. But next time I want to change a settings I have to do the same tbibg, kill app, delete cache (not app data) and open the app again.

BTW, for me Quad9 (9.9.9.9) outperforms any other DNS service.

@cdysthe Mine are X20's but it's the same issue with the App rather than hardware.  Has anyone tried installing the latest beta update?

Was going to see if it would let me do it later.

@murf74 I've been and am running the beta. The same issue remains.

@LKMcMillen Update: I contacted TP-Link (Outsourced?) technical support. The suggestion of disabling my mobile service carriers data connection eventually resolved all of my issues. I say eventually as after initially disabling the data connection I was able to change the IPv4 DNS server addresses, and enable IPv6. Then, after ending my call with tech support I discovered that I still couldn't save changes to any other settings. Then, about 8 hours later, I found that I could.

I'm happy that I can now use my TP-Link Deco network, but still frustrated with the current versions and implementations of the Deco App and the firmware for the XE75 Pro.

Thank you for your comments. It helped learning that I wasn't alone with the issues I encountered..

@cdysthe This is the first I've heard of Quad9. I'll add it to my list of things to take a look at.

Thank you.

  @LKMcMillen

Take a look at their server locations. There's a listing on their site. If they have one close to your location it's more likely to perform well. I have one close to me and it is seriouly fast and accurate!
