Model: Deco S4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6.2

I need to connect low speed (2.4) devices to my Deco S4 system.  The device app requires that the phone is connected to the network the device is to join.

The Deco provides both 2.4 and 5 MHz options but there is no way that I can find to force my phone (Pixel 9) to connect at other than 5 MHz.

While I couldn't find any threads that directly speak to the prolem I sure I'm not the first person with the problem.  Any assistance would be appreciated. A link to a relevant thread would be a fine response.

Thanks,

Glenn

  @GlennJ0158 Not sure it is the same but for my BE95 they are combined together 2.4 & 5.  BUT if you use the Deco App and select Wi-Fi Settings  -> 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Network -> Advanced -> Bands there is a check box one for 2.4 GHz and another for 5 GHz.  You can uncheck 5 GHz temporarily so only 2.4 GHz is broadcasted.  Then connect your Pixel to 2.4 GHz as needed.

  @jzchen

Thank you. I found the setting and am testing now.

  @GlennJ0158

It worked and the unit turned green, flashed, etc. When I put the network back into 5 & 2.4 the unit went dead.

I'm off for a week of skiing, so no progress will be made for a while.

Thanks again for the suggestion and it looks like a partial solution
