Maybe some TP-Link person might have such a link, but none is published that I know of.

 

TP-Link seems to have moved away from Web GUI, especially for install/set-up. Most recent ones have a requirement of a phone and the Tether/Deco app.

 

I have a BE65 Deco and I can access it via the GUI on a browser, but many 'features' are not avaialbe that way. For instance, a USB attached driver, only can 'work with it' via the Deco app.

 

Actually, it is much more limited in the GUI (I just checked). Only the System 'stuff', Update, see the ROUTER LOG (oddly enough, you can't see this on the DECO app?), do a REBOOT, Set the time, but not much else.

Thanks for checking. Yeah, My X55 doesnt allow much either through the web, I wanted to set up some routing rule and found out I physically have to be there on the local net with the app. Which of course I am nowhere near it.  So am willing to buy a new router, but I wanted to make sure it works with remote administration. It is hard to tell for the online docs.

Can you remote desktop to an attached PC?

 

Also Asus has an option called instant guard which is a vpn on your home router which you connect to remotely to create a vpn encrypted link between your remote device and your home router. Not sure if TP Link has such an option on any of their routers. 

I can remote in to the machine with RDP, but the only interface is from the TP link app and that has to be on my phone and on the local network. That is the issue, if there were an Web UI i could just do the admin without having to physically be there. I didn't realize this limitation when I bought the 4 X55's. Thanks
