I have three TL-WA3001 and I would like to assign them a unique device name (vs. just IP address), but there is no option in the WebUI to make this change.  Is there any other option?

TIA

No, such a feature has to be implemented into the AP's firmware.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

  @bitmerlin I had the same problem, and just removed them from the network, then added them back in, which then gave me the option to change the default names... This, however, was on the BE10800, not sure if it works the same on your model...

Thanks for the tip.  When you say removed from the network, you meant factory reset ?  Just trying to understand the process.

  @bitmerln

This is what worked on my BE10800 - I literally removed the devices from the app.  When you do this, it factory-resets the satellite unit, which causes it to ultimately enter "add" mode and start blinking blue.  Then you can use the + sign on the main Deco app page to have it reconnect.  At that time, it will ask you for the location of the unit, which then becomes the name. Remember to press "save" at the top before leaving the page where you renamed it.

TL-WA3001 is a standalone AP and not managed via an app like Decco units.  Configuration is via a web UI.
