Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.3 Build 20240628 rel.37017

I connect a USB thumb drive or a USB hard drive but it is not recognized by the router itself.  I also cannot connect to the TP-Share media server with my CX File Explorer app on my Android phone.  I thought I had the configuration correct, but the router does not recognize when I plug the device in.

So, two problems, how do I attach a USB device and then, how do I access it with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus phone?

All help appreciated.  Thanks.

With further trials, I was able to connect a hard drive to the USB port, but in order to get it to be recognized, I first needed to mount a smaller USB thumb drive.  When I did this, it was recognized.  I then removed it and mounted a Seagate 2TB drive and it was recognized.  I don't understand the connection difference, but at the moment the device is recognized and accessible via FTP locally.

Any other comments on this would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Some of the USB drives you can attach to the router need a power hub in order for them to work as some routers do not supply enough power to run the device.  So if you have additional issues, you may need a power hub.
