Model: RE700X
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: RE700X(EU)_V2_1.0.2 Build 20231129

Hi,

I just installed a RE700X V2 WiFi extender to connect a device to my network via the Ethernet port provided by the range extender.
I do not use the RE700X to repeat WiFi signal (extended 2.4 & 5 GHz antennas are off), but just as a WiFi to Ethernet transmitter.

My first speed tests were very good (80Mbps down & up).
As the firmware was still on its factory version (1.0.1 Build 20231124 Rel. 61043), I updated it via the dedicated menu, the device downloaded the driver RE700X(EU)_V2_1.0.2 Build 20231129 and installed it.

Just after the update, my speed tests became horrible (max 5 Mbps down and 0.15Mbps up).
I thought there was an issue with my source network, interference or else, and after numerous tests, placement changes and diagnostics, I gave up and downloaded back the RE700X(EU)_V2_1.0.1 Build 20231124 driver from the TPLink dedicated page and re-installed it.

Just after this downgrade, all came back to normal, and my speed test was again at 80Mbps up/down.

So I think there is an issue with this v2_1.0.2 driver.

Hope this thread will be useful to users & TP Link developpers, and they will investigate the issue.

If you have the same issue with this firmware don't hesitate to mention it here, in order that TP Link is aware of it !
