I need to hardwire into my internet for my job. My router is in the living room and my office is the back of the house. Internet reaches but I have to run my ethernet cable down a hallway. I purchased the Deco Mesh and it is asking me to install via AP or replace my router with the Deco. My intentions were to replace my router then I saw AP I thought this would save me from having to re-set all my wireless stuff. Can you tell me if I setup as AP mode and hardwire my computer in the office's access point is it the same as replacing my router?
