  @NetworkHelper I wonder about the actual benefit of securing DNS on routers. 

I prefer securing DNS on my devices.  Hence my devices are protected on all networks.

Why would a router participate in DNS queries?

@NetworkHelper Agree with your concern, disagreee with your conclusion re backdoor. Zero evidence at this time. That might of course change, but as of now no evidence of a backdoor has been made public.

  @NetworkHelper I also agree, I have two Deco BE85 and DoH and DoT is not available. I find it unjustified because it is a recent and high-end router. I believe it would be very easy to fix it with a simple firmware update

  @denizv If you want a work around, run adgaurd on an external DNS. I use the brume 2 and point client DNS to my local IP that handles and secures all DNS requests. I then opened a cloudflare DNS server to point my adguard too. Zero Records, Total Privacy, and fully enycrypted for ALL Clients on netowrk, with ad blocking for ALL clients on local netowrk. It's been amazing!!!
