feature request: please add local DNS server to BE3600
At present I can ping the hostnames of Windows machines on my LAN eg.
ping win-pc1.local or
ping win-pc2
But I cannot ping linux machines. These will fail to resolve the hostname e.g.
ping ipcam1.local
ping sys2-linux
The TP-Link routers lack an internal DNS server. I know there have been many requests for this internal DNS feature in the past years.
Most competitors like ASUS, etc have an internal DNS (eg. dnsmasq) to resolve local hostnames.

Have you verified if the non-windows devices that can't be pinged by hostname, have the router IP set as their DNS server?

@kanchil Yes, I have verified they cannot be pinged by hostname.
As a result, I have to give them static IP addresses, then use these static IP addresses in parameter files. Previously (with ASUS, OpenWrt, etc routers) I could use the hostnames in the parameter files.

We definitely need custom DNS entries on this device; even my old Frontier router had it..
