Archer AX95 Issues with Disconnects and Internet Outages

    •    Model: Archer AX95

    •    Firmware: 1.1.6 Build 20241203 rel. 64133

    •    Duration of Use: Less than a year

    •    Issue Start Date: About a week ago

 

Description of the Problem:

 

For the past week, my Archer AX95 has been experiencing intermittent issues:

    1.    Wi-Fi Disconnections: Random devices lose connection without any apparent trigger.

    2.    Internet Outages: Occasionally, the router displays “No Internet,” even though my modem seems fine.

    3.    Performance History: The router has been rock solid since purchase, but these issues have started happening more frequently.

 

Troubleshooting Steps Tried:

    1.    Power cycled the router and modem.

    2.    Verified all cables are securely connected.

    3.    Checked for firmware updates (currently running the latest version).

    4.    Observed the device logs for abnormalities, but unclear on the specifics.

    5.    Performed a factory reset but the problem persists.

 

Request for Assistance:

    •    Is there a known issue with this firmware version?

    •    Are there additional diagnostic steps I should try?

    •    Could this be a hardware defect given the sudden onset of these issues?

Welcome to the community.

 

Did the behavior appear immediately after updating the router's firmware? Or have you been running the firmware for a while prior to the behavior emerging?

 

When your modem seems fine, have you tried bypassing the Deco and connecting directly to the modem (e.g., with a laptop) to see if you can get online?

 

What is the model of your modem?

 

Who is your Internet provider?

 

Have you tried contacting your ISP to perform diagnostics on your service line to rule out any anomalies upstream?
