  @Nyquist-Shannon It doesn't show the certified logo like the BE800 does (that one is certified) I have the TP-Link PCIe adapter in one machine and a Intel BE adapter in another and the Intel one behaves better that the TP-Link one.  I had to get a beta driver for the TP-Link card just to enable MLO.

My iPhone 16 was seeing my MLO network as having weak security even though it is WPA3, the latest update for the iPhone has seemed to fix that.

thats interesting since the ge800 came out after the be800 right? regardless, im getting wifi 7 speeds so im good. interesting that you see weak security on the 16. ive got the pro max 1tb and it has not complained about the security, just that it slows to a crawl.. im using the wpa3 also....

  @Nyquist-Shannon yes GE is newer, The weak security thing was weird, when I first got the phone it was fine, then a week or so ago it complained.  Had an update the other day and its back to normal.

Most likely hasn't completed the certification process yet.

ok so after an update

Firmware Version:

1.1.6 Build 20241120 rel.41416(5553)

which i received a couple days ago, now my network is slowing to a crawl, requiring a constant reboot of the router daily.

after the reboot, everything is fine, but at some point the internet speeds crawl to near zero, websites time out, and the only thing to do is a reboot. i now have set the option to reboot the router every night.

also, my wifi 7 clients ( two laptops) are now experiencing slower wifi speeds. example, when the system is working fine on my wifi 7 wireless laptop, i get these speeds:

40f518cd70244670b90cd605d13f1b9f

but when the system crawls to a trickle, i get this speed on my wired clients:

2f553f7a68de454d961a837f13f0c634

only after a reboot will things get back to normal

this is unacceptable for such an expensive router.

  @Nyquist-Shannon  ... I just received an email notification, that you had posted again, yet I see nothing new on this thread... that was weird.  Anyway, I believe the V1.6 you first posted refers to the router hardware version (I am V1.0) and not the actual firmware version, which should look something like this... 1.1.6 Build 20241120 rel.41416(5553) now, depending on your region and hardware version possibly.  That aside, are you still having same issues with wi-fi slowing down and have to reboot nightly, or has that resolved itself somehow?

  @Sweeks888

hey apologies for the confusion. i wanted to post the hardware version and ASSumed everyone who had this router would have seen the firmware update that just came out a couple/few days ago.

yes with this latest update, my router will slow to a crawl after a certain period of time. it may take a few hours but when it does, its unusable. you cant even get into the router via the routers ip! i can use the tether app and get into it faster and reboot. its so weird. once i reboot its back to normal and we are off to the races.

before this update, this never happened. the apple 16pm would have its issues with mlo but all of my other clients had no issues. now EVERYTHING suffers , even wired speeds(!!!) until I reboot.

i had a tplink tech send me some debug software but it wont load ( or i am not following the proper procedure on how to install) so im waiting to hear back from them on more info on how to install. what they sent me is for the issues with apple having issues with mlo, not this new issue, but if i can get this installed and test it, maybe it will cure the issues i have now... will report back...

@Nyquist-Shannon

does it only slow down on MLO band or other band as well?

I was experiencing the same issue for all bands(MLO, 6Ghz, 5Ghz). I solved it by turning the (guest network off, iot network off, EasyMesh off and Set it to ofdma+mu-mimo) I was stable since 2 months ago.

*****EasyMesh***** Every time I turn this on I am guaranteed a slow down on all bands (around 10up and 10mbps down)

other settings i have found to conflict with MLO only

ewevvveerryyyttthhhaannngggggggg sslllooowwwwwwsssssss :D the router drops to its knees and gives up! only a reboot will coreect. as mentioned in my reply earlier, even the internet speeds slow down ( see the second photo - those are wired speeds when the router is acting up) and thus everything downstream from that suffers. it would be one thing if the internet speeds coming IN from the ONT were the same, but they too suffer, so its has to be something on the router. i need to set a timer to see if this crawl happens at the same time or if its random.

  @Bt11

thanks for your input about the iot network! i have that on but have the guest off, easy mesh was off and i had the same omfda settings as you.

prior to this issue i am now seeing, everything was stable - it was just the apple 16pm now liking the mlo band.

did you recently get an update and install? this update was probably on friday past.

dang sorry. maybe ask TP-link for the previous version of firmware at lease you will be able to use everything besides MLO.

and no I have auto update disable. i haven't updated since I posted last time. my 16pm is now on MLO without too much of an issue. maybe once a week it will go down to slowwwwww
