Can my router or Ethernet Controller suddenly have performed an update that cut my hardwired 5G Fiber Ethernet connection down to 1G?  Is there anything you can think of that would cause this?  I mean we had two hurricanes.  Amazingly never lost internet, Thank God and Frontier.  We love it, but I'm beginning to think when both neighbors on each side of me got Frontier that for some odd reason my signal was reduced.  Would having more neighbors on the same fiber optic signal reduce my 5G.  Frontier seems utterly clueless and they are going to send out a new technician.  I'm just trying to trouble shoot if my computer or the router they gave me did this.  All my drivers in my computer are up to date to.  I'm freaking out and thinking an update caused this.  The cable from the router is a state of the art code level outdoor CAT5E rated.

I would bypass the router and connect a PC direct to the modem and see what speeds you get. That will tell you where to check next.
