Model: Archer TX20U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Not sure of the Firmware version... installed the latest version... so whatever that number is.

Also not sure of the Hardware Version... under the bar code is US/1.6... So whatever version that is.

I am most definitely using USB 3.0  That's the only type of USB in the computer at the moment.

The reason I need the product is that the computer only gets 1, occasionally 2 bars if the stars align, from the WiFi.  This product gave me no appreciable boost with the length of cable that came with.  I purchased an extender USB cable(also 3.0).  This cable is long enough for me to stretch the unit all the way out to the WiFi router.  Even with the unit sitting right next to the WiFi, I'm still getting 1 bar, occasionally 2 bars if the stars align.

I've downloaded and installed the drivers twice now.  The firmware has been updated.  It's connected.  It's powered.  Why am I not getting a better signal?  Heck... if I could figure out the neighbors password, they'd provide better WiFi connection.

So... am I doing something wrong, or did I waste the money?

Any suggestions on possible fixes?

Please don't tell me its the WiFi either.  The laptops, phones, and tablets in the home have no issues with the WiFi.  It's the desktop that needs help because of distance, thus your product.

Oh... Win 11 Pro
