Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20240403 Rel. 38315

Hi there, got my two DECO BE63 set up ok.  One is connected to the cable modem.  I also have CAT5 that runs upstairs (from the 1st DECO) where I connected the second one.  Setup went fairly smooth.

However, I noticed my Windows clients running CAT5 in that same network had VERY SLOW throughput.  In speedtests before, those Windows machines would hit over 900mbps download speed.

However, I was seeing 200mbps or less!

I removed the CAT5 cable from my 2nd DECO and now it's connected to the primary one downstairs by WiFi - and my Windows clients now see over 900mbps download speed.

I really wanted my 2nd DECO to be hardwired to the first one vs WIFi.

Is there a fix to this, or something I missed when setting things up?  QoS is not enabled.

Thanks

Ken

  @Kenobe Maybe you can update the firmware?  I don't even see a hardware version 7 I'm afraid, highest is 2.6...

  @jzchen

Thank you! The firmware update did the trick.  Sorry about putting the wrong hardware version.
