Model: Archer BE9300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.11

Hi there. I set up the above mentioned router. It seems some devices in my house dislike the wifi for some reason. I know devices can't "dislike" but while some devices connect just fine, others don't. Wifi cameras, Macbooks, playstations. With the macbook it will accept the ethernet connection just fine but it doesn't accept wifi settings for some reason. The playstation doesn't accept either wifi or ethernet. I was having some issues with my previous router set up but not to this extent. I'm not sure if there is some DHCP issue going on with addresses. I'd like to be able to do a release/renew on the devices but some don't have that functionality. Maybe there is a way to do it in the tether app? I did the firmware upgrade on the Archer router as well. I have also done another reboot. I really don't want to factory reset it as I have only had this device active for maybe an hour. So, I don't think a factory reset is the answer when it was literally on factory default. I tried to connect the devices before the firmware upgrade and I also tried it after the firmware upgrade.

Any suggestions?

Update: I partially solved the issue. Turns out I have to update the IP address and gateway of the faulty clients. I've never had to do that before but it seems the IP address of the old router may have stuck and I needed to manually assign an IP address, DNS, etc. Some say that is normal, but I've never had to do that before. Maybe because I switched from mesh to a regular router network? I don't know.

some devices will not connect to a new router and you need to delete (forget) the network on the device then reset it up. Apple happens a lot as does others. I think it is a securiy thing.
