Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20230906 rel.52177(5553)

Finished setting up my AX6000 router and everything is connected and running fine with the exception of a mini pc with an Ethernet connection. I had this connected to a different router before, so I know it in fact works. I used it as a media server and have two external hard drives connected to it. The issue I'm having now is that it shows as Wi-fi connected to 5G (As a note, all my devices are showing as connected to wi fi at 5G even those that do not have 5G capabilities and are only connected to 2.4) when Wifi is disabled on it and it's not showing as a wired client in the Tether app or web interface.

  @Orukal

Does the mini pc support both Ethernet and WIFI and is it turned on in thr PC?

Are you using Smart Connect where you have just one SSID?

Yes, it does support both Ethernet and Wifi. Prior to switching to the AX6000 router it was connected via Ethernet as well. WiFi is currently disabled on it intentionally. I am using smartconnect with a single SSID.

If it was me, if it working, way worry about it. I suspect if you turn off smartconnect and use separate ssids then it would show correctly.

side note... I prefer to not to use smart connect and use separate ssids as that gives me better control over my network since 2.4 gives me more distance but is slower that 5 GHz.  I also put my iot devices on a guest network.

  @ArcherC8 I never considered Smart Connect but I'll give it a try. It was working, yes, but it was working off of a different router. Off of an Xfinity modem/router and that used it's own form of Smart Connect. Switching from that to the AX6000 is the issue I'm having since I've yet to get it working properly on the AX6000.

To update from my original post, devices now seem to correctly reflect 5G or 2.4G with the only exception being the ethernet connected mini-PC.
