Model: Deco X55 Pro
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

I saw this asked in another thread, and the TP-Link responder didn't explain how to resolve the issue, so here I am.

When the internet goes out, Deco users can log in to the Deco app using their TP-Link ID. What happens is that the app doesn't try to access the system locally, EVEN IF YOU'RE CONNECTED TO IT (5GHz, 2.4GHz, whatever). Instead, the app tries to connect to the system using the internet, which doesn't make sense. Users are essentially unable to do something simple like restart the system because there's no local management in place (from what I can tell). How can users manage the system locally without using the internet-dependent cloud account?

Currently, there is no method to manage Deco routers locally; however, you can unplug them when they are offline.

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

From my experience, if the Deco is isolated from Internet, you can manage it via the app, when locally connected to it.

You might have to restart the app to achieve that.
