Is there any benefit of having two TC-W7960 wireless cable modems in my house? I'm using one TC-W7960 wireless cable modem and three TP-Link extenders but the wifi signal in these areas is weak, sometimes registering 2-7 MBPS, but the modem registers at 110 MBPS. I wondered whether a second TC-W7960 wireless cable modem would be helpful? I already own a second W7960 modem. How would I configure the second modem?

In order to have two modems, you will need two separate lines from your ISP.

Your modem router can serve as a modem router or just as a modem (bridge mode). Your modem router does not support AP mode.

Not sure where you are located, but that unit only has a 2.4 GHz Wifi. Most places now allow for additional bands that are faster.

multiple wifi routers and extenders in the same area can slow the Wifi down.

Also when using extenders, place them in an area where they get a good signal from the router not in the trouble area. Like half way.
