We wanted to provide everyone with an update on some of the latest exciting features and optimizations found in recent firmware updates for our Home Networking Products. 

We have done our best to provide a summary of the updates we have seen, but bear in mind:

• Not All Hardware Versions of a Model will Receive the Same Updates and Features
• We ONLY Included New Features, NOT bug fixes and optimizations.
• We Likely Missed a Few Models, We’re Only Human 😊 

Whether your device is listed below or not, we recommend checking its firmware download page for specific release notes and information regarding bug fixes/optimizations and to verify that the listed hardware version received a feature.

Archer Routers 

Several Archer Routers received several EasyMesh feature updates. In addition, some received Fing Client Recognition Support, as well as some optimizations and fixes listed below.

Archer AX1800 (v.3.6) & Archer AX21 (v.3, 3, 6) - EasyMesh + Ethernet Backhaul, Added VPN Client, Added IoT Network and Security, Added Quick Configuration from Previous Router, AP Mode (Added Access Control; WPS; TPLinkID; LED Control and Wireless Scheduling)

Archer BE11000Pro (v.1.6) - EasyMesh via WebUI, EasyMesh Network Topology, EasyMesh in AP Mode as Controller, Guest Network Isolation from Main in AP Mode, 3rd Party VPN Server, TAP Mode in Open VPN Server, PPTP L2TP/IPsec VPN offer IP as LAN IP Range, ECO Mode, Wi-Fi Scheduling for Bands, DoH/DoT DNS Server Support

Archer BE230 (v.1, 1.6) & Archer BE3600 (v.1.6) - EasyMesh via WebUI, EasyMesh Network Topology, EasyMesh in AP Mode as Controller, Guest Network Isolation from Main in AP Mode, 3rd Party VPN Server, TAP Mode in Open VPN Server

Archer BE900 (v.2, 2.6) - Fixed Static Route Bug, Upgraded OpenSSL, Resolved LAN/WAN Adaptation when Setup via Tether, Abnormal Traffic Statistic Fixes, Additional Fixes, Fing Client Type Recognition

Archer C80 (v.2.26, 2.20) - Added L2TP/IPSec VPN Server, Added EasyMesh, Auto Update and TP-Link ID in AP Mode, Added Ability to Manually Enter MAC Addresses, Added Client List Filtering Rules, WPA3-SAE Encryption for WDS Connection

Deco Mesh

Some Deco Mesh Models received 6GHz Client Connectivity options, an added Low-Power Feature, and VPN Performance Optimizations, as well as other optimizations and fixes listed below.

Deco BE85 (v.2, 2.6 ) & Deco BE95 (v.1, 1.6) - Open the 6GHz Band to Clients and Optimized the Channel Selection Mechanism

Deco W3600 (v.4.6 ) & Deco W6000 (v.2.6) - Increased Networking Number, Added Support for IPv6 During Setup, Added Low-Power Feature, Enhanced VPN Performance, LED Scheduling, Bug Fixes: WAN Port Recognition + DNS Refresh + Client List Display

Deco X20 (v.4, 4.6) - Increased Networking Number, Added Low-Power Feature, Enhanced VPN Performance, LED Scheduling, Bug Fixes: WAN Port Recognition + DNS Refresh

Deco X50 (v.1, 1.6) & Deco X55 (v.1, 1.6) - Increased Networking Number, Added Support for IPv6 During Setup, Added Low-Power Feature, Enhanced VPN Performance, LED Scheduling, Bug Fixes: WAN Port Recognition + DNS Refresh + Client List Display, DoH/DoT, Automatic 2.4GHz Bandwidth Channels Width Selection

Deco XE75Pro (v.1.6) - Support for ECO Mode, Wi-Fi Access Control, Camera Security

 
TP-Link Range Extenders

Range Extenders received an EasyMesh feature optimization.

TP-Link RE600X (v.3, 3.6, 3.8), TP-Link RE605X (v.3, 3.6, 3.8), TP-Link RE615X (v.1, 1.6), TP-Link RE700X (v.1, 1.8), TP-Link RE705X (v.1, 1.8), TP-Link RE715X (v.1, 1.6, 1.8) - Added EasyMesh Display on the Tether App
