I have a 3-node system with one connected to my modem and the others remotely installed in bedrooms. Can I connect a LAN cable from the remote nodes directly to the TVs in that room and what effect would that have? I use Spectrum cable internet and am trying to reduce the buffering and weak signals in the bedrooms. Also thinking of switching to Starlink.
You are welcome to connect Ethernet cables from the Decos in your bedroom to your television and other devices that support wired connections.
This may enhance your buffering and speed, although the performance will not be as optimal as if the Decos in the bedrooms were directly connected to Ethernet rather than using Wi-Fi.
You may consider relocating the Deco units that are connected via Wi-Fi to improve their connection to the main Deco. Additionally, you could enhance the signal by adding another Deco unit or a range extender.
I have provided a link to a range extender that is compatible with Deco units. If you choose to use a different range extender, please ensure it specifies compatibility with Deco networks, as not all options are suitable.
