Severe performance issues
I set this up with 3 pods, with the main connected to one with ehternet, the other is wifi. All pods say US:1.26 on the bottom, which I assume is the hardware version, as the app does not appear to show me the hardware version. The pods updated firmware shortly after install. App says 1.2.0 20231229 R 43148. TP-Link website says that this is the latest firmware. App shows medium signal strength on the pod connected via wifi. I'm assuming the wired pod has optimum connection. Performance is horrible across the board, with the exeption of our phones (Pixel 4a & 7), which are good, but still a bit slower than when previously using the Spectrum router. We've got several cameras, a TV, a few laptops/tablets plus the phones connected, although they aren't ever all active at once. Signal strength on individual clients looks very strong. Even a client that is close to the wired pod has terrible performance. I was going to put all our cameras on the IoT network, but that means manually deleting them from the main network and then adding them to the IoT. I'm not sure that will make a difference, as we seem to only have 15 or so clients attached max and there is usually not more that 4 or 5 active at any one time.
We got this system to extend the network farther out to the detached (24' between buildings) garage/rec room, as the single Spectrum router was not providing a strong enough signal.
Need advice.
