Re550 only showing purple led and not resetting

I tried to upgrade the firmware on my RE550 and after it said that the upgrade was unable to complete. Afterwards, the extender stopped working and i tried to reset it. Now the extender had a purple LED and the rest of the LED's are all on but i cant connect to the internet nor can i turn off the extender or reset it.
