Doorbell-Specific Features (Compatibility Varies by Model)
Smart AI Detection and Notifications
Built-in Motion, Person, Pet, Vehicle, and Package Detection features allow you to know exactly what is going on in your home without reviewing your footage.
Package Detection Tips
Models supporting Tapo’s AI Package Detection feature will notify you when a package has been left at your door. The feature will look to see if a visitor has left a package within the doorbell’s view. If you know that your packages are often left out of view,, consider mounting your doorbell to have a better view or using the included wedge.
Quick Responses and Two-Way Audio Communication
You can communicate directly with your visitor through the Tapo Doorbell's built-in speaker and microphone via the Tapo app. If responding in real time is inconvenient, you can choose from a list of prerecorded audio responses to play.
With Ring Call, you will receive a phone call to conveniently answer your door without opening the Tapo app. (Update Coming to iOS allowing you to select between Ring Call and Default)
Doorbell Spotlights and Night Vision
Many Tapo Doorbells include improved Night Vision capabilities, allowing clear or even full-color images to be seen with the smallest amount of light. For the D130, D210, D225, and TD25 the LED ring around the doorbell will function as the spotlight at night. Even our team was surprised at both the brightness of the light and the resulting image quality.
For the D230S1, the doorbell button is not surrounded by an LED; instead, a designated LED spotlight can be seen on the doorbell.
Varied Power Options
Power Options for Tapo Doorbells come in three ‘flavors’: Hardwired Only, Battery Only, and Dual Power.
- Battery Cameras are Not Capable of 24/7 Recording
- Dual Power Doorbells Can Be Powered Either Way and Gain 24/7 Recording When Powered
- Not All Battery Doorbells have a Removable Battery
Flexible Recording Options
With a 512 GB MicroSD Card Slot and Tapo Care Support, you can choose how to store your clips.
Additionally, when provided with consistent power via a hardwire connection, the D225 will allow you to choose continuous or 24/7 Recording. Battery-Powered Doorbells and Cameras using battery power will only record when motion or activity is detected by the camera’s motion sensor.

@Riley_S Can anyone confirm if the D225 works the the H200 hub?
This page suggest it does, but it says to refer to indviual product pages, but I can't find anything specifically mentioning it.

The feature to bring your non-subg camera footage to your hub is slowly being added to cameras, however it is limited to the C425 while it is being developed. For our doorbells, you would want to look specifically towards the Tapo D230S1, which is our designated Sub-G doorbell. The D225's feature that has been recently added is RTSP and ONVIF, but these cannot be directly taken advantage of by the H200

Can someone please explain what the differences (if any) are between the TD21 (https://uk.store.tapo.com/products/battery-video-doorbell-2k-3mp-colour-night-vision-tapo-td21) and D210 (https://uk.store.tapo.com/products/tapo-video-doorbell-camera-d210) as they appear to be identical but surely there's some difference as otherwise why would two different models of the exact same thing exist?
I already have a TD21 and have just bought a D210 as a gift for a neighbour for Christmas, but having bought it (from a different retailer to where I got the TD21) I've realised it has a different model number, so am left wondering if it will work and perform exactly the same or not?
Overall, by the way, have been pleased with the TD21 thus far even if it's had several occasions where it keeps indicating that it can't see my WiFi (flashing red light around button), anyone else had this repeatedly?

I would need to double check to be sure, but I believe that the TD21 and D210 are the same models, with the TD21 being the model used at Best Buy, at least in the United States. For UK models, I really do not know if there is a difference. For doorbells, the differences have been pretty obvious in their specs if there is one, such as the resolution or the number of MP. The models are technically different and will get updates at different times, however it will still follow the same general development cycles.
