Model: Archer C5400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20240607 rel.74966(5553)

Today I just had 1gig fiber isntalled to my house to which I brought my own router (AXE5400).

One of my laptops (mediatek 6e MT7922) gets 1200mbps on speedtest.

My other laptop right next to it (intel ax210 6e) gets 300-400mbps.

Finally my phone gets around 500mbps.

Could anyone explain the disparaging rates between these? I'm half tempted to get a new wifi card for my second laptop if needed.

Appreciate any comments, thank you!

  @NotYourWIFI I re-ran a test using fast.com

Laptop 1 - 1.6Gbps download, 790mbps up

Laptop 2 - 550Mbps download, 180 up

Phone - 470 down, 260 up

Edit:

Laptop 1 windows showing link speed receive/transmit 2402/2402 (5ghz) with 802.11ax

Laptop 2 windows 1089/288 (5ghz) with 802.11ax

Possible bad NIC in laptop 2? Again these are right next to each other.

Edit 2:

For laptop 2, I dual boot both windows and linux, same speeds. Updated the BIOS to latest, but still signficantly slower than laptop 1.
