Model: RE603X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1

Range extender RE603X more frequently dropping 2.4g band, with indicator light going out. 5g band always stays intact. This is a recent occurrence within the last few months. Extender ran very well for over two years. For some reason the RE603X last firmware was 5/23/21, over 3 years ago.

This extender is paired with the TP Link AX3200 router.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am

frequently rebooting the router now to restore the 2.4g band.

Firmware updates are not regular events. If nothing is being addressed, like a bug or security concern or a feature being added or optimized, Firmware updates can be long and in between.

Usually, when issues like this happen its due to a change in the network.  2.4GHz is very susceptible to congestion and interference I would recommend logging into the host router and changing the channel for the 2.4GHz network.  That channel will then be applied to the range extender and you can see if the connection is improved.
