Can't get a mesh network set up, and Ubiquiti says the problem is in my router, not their AP's.
Hello!
I have been through the ringer over the last few days trying to problem solve my network issues. Ubiquiti has finally pushed the issue to my router, which is a tp-link ac 1200 c5.
I'm not sure what info to provide here, but I'll try to provide a small amount to start. I have three ubiquiti ap's running off of my pc unifi network software. They have always been one 'wired' and two 'mesh'. It's the only way I've been able to get them to work. The ubiquiti forum recently told me to just disable meshing and they would all go wired and work much better without the piggybacking. When I did that, it all blew up. They were unadopted, offline, completely gone etc. I have gotten everything back to about where it was before after a few days of constant troubleshooting.
Where I am at right now, is I can get each of them to adopt as GbE alone, but then I can ONLY adopt the other two as mesh, no matter what, no matter which ones. Ubiquiti finally gave up and told me my router isn't giving out ip addresses to my ap's, and the don't know why.
I don't know much about networking, but I'm happy to ask clarifying questions and to work hard. :)
