Why my AXE300 hardware version is v1.0 while box and label both say v1.6?
I just bought an Archer AXE300, the box and label both say hardware version v1.6, but in firmware and tether app, the hardware version is "Archer AXE300 v1.0".
I am confused, so which one is correct? Did seller fake the label? Thanks.

The mandatory source of information for the HW version is the router bottom sticker.
FW versions for HW v1 and v1.6 should be the same according to TP-Link description:
( Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8); Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28 )
and this may have confused you.

@codewarrior Had the same thing on my BE800, talked to support, they said the hardware was was1.0 but the box is labeled as 1.6 because it includes some new paperwork inside.

@DVair Usually hardware versions with a number after the dot are just included because they changed the packaging or documentation. Only the first number should be referenced when updating the firmware.
