Deco X10 connectivity question

Model: Deco
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi I know this is a really schoolboy question but I have setup my Deco X10 3 pack

First deco is plugged via ethernet to my SKY router and set in AP mode.

Second deco is connected wirelessly to main deco and is in in bedroom

Third deco is connected wireless to second deco and is in front room

My question is that in my front room I have some devices that do not support wireless. Can I connect a 5 port switch via ethernet to my third deco and run these devices off that whilst still retaining full wifi functionality throughout the house

My router is too far away to run an ethernet all the way to the front room due to where openreach installed my ONT

Any advice appreciated

@yves_b bit new to this forum did the positive respone you sent mean this will work. Thanks in advance. Don't want to break anything and just try it as I have heard mixed results about when doing this it will slow the wifi right down on that third Deco unit

@Damien7690 All devices are, obviously, competing to use the shared bandwidth.

Connecting the devices by cable to Deco is better, from that perspective, than connecting devices by wifi to Deco.

It is even much better if you can interconnect some Deco by cable, or connect more Deco to the router.

You do not provide any information about your usage and the available bandwidth, hence it is difficult to determine if the traffic of the five additional devices would have an impact on the usage of the existing devices.
