Okay.

To start with, I have setup a fair few TP-Link routers for locations that share a single internet.  Wireless bridges, with a router dropped at the end with a QoS speed limit set.  Most of these are using AC1200s, or AX1600s, etc.  Simplier routers, but it works.  I can have a shared Starlink connecion and speed limit each shared "drop" at say 25MB or 50MB, whatever.  Same with upload speeds.

They always have worked.  Most of those still do today.

Now.

My personal AX6000 used to do this.  Back when I first set it up I had a limit set and it worked.  I had later disabled it as I didn't need it.  Today I went in to setup a speed limit for testing something, and it will not affect the speed of the connection at all anymore.  I set it to 50, still get well over 100.  Set it to 25.  Same.  Set even upload.  Doesn't affect that either!  Tried rebooting, reconnecting, testing from multiple places, nothing.  And I have a hardwired device, but have tested it via wireless too.  No difference.

I did notice the menu has changed and the setting was relocated, probably after a firmware update.

So now...  Its useless???  what the frank, over?

I want to cap my main bandwidth for a project so that the project doesn't pull my internet down for everything else.   Short of setting up a second router with its own rules, not sure what I can do.  I thought I could just go in and set a speed limit.  And now it doesn't work?

And I don't want to hassle with having to go in and set up a speed limit by device and use a VLAN/Port assignment. I want this to just be a quick global affect everything connected to that router kind of setting, which used to work.
