Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.12 Build 20230526 rel.64234(5553)

I start by stating that I selected my Model the Archer AX6000 because the Archer AX6600 was not an option.

I have a 1Gig/1Gig internet plan.  I've seen different information as to what the Wifi 5GHz download/upload speed should be.  I doing the 5GHz speed test with only my laptop which is about 10 feet from the router.  The speed test with an ethernet cable to my laptop averages 940 Mbps download and 935 Mbps.  What speeds can I realistically can I expect to perform a 5GHz test with my laptop which is sitting about 10 feet from the router?

Thanks,

  @Steamer14

This will depend strongly on your laptop's wireless adapter capability and the surrounding wireless interference.

Technically speaking it should cover your ISP plan for sure in the best case scenario.

I didn't tested this specific router, but expect same 1 Gibps or close. Assuming the laptop has 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) 160MHz bandwidth capable card and it isn't some crowded multi-family building environment, and you don't have competing clients at the same time. It should connect at 2400 Mibps or a bit lower link speed. If it is 1200 Mibps, it may be 1x1 or some older card.
