One Unresponsive LAN Port - Any Ideas or this thing is busted?
It looks like one of my routers LAN ports may be dead. I'm out of ideas on what can be done about it but that as a last ditch effort I'd post here.
Issue is pretty straightforward, LAN 4 it seems refuses to acknowledge a connection regardless or cable or device, yet all others work fine.
I've already tried the standard reset, reboot, tried to check whatever settings I can think of, tried a new cable, tried different devices. All of them are a bust, I check network map and irrespective neither the device nor the network map will recognize LAN 4, stuck as below no matter what I tried swapping around. Same cables and devices work fine in ports 1 to 3.
Sadly this device is definitely probably out of warranty, and it's had overheating issues for ages. (Whatever happened with V1 hardware of this device must not have been good, no wonder they aren't on V1 anymore)
Any ideas that I could try that I haven't thought of or am I just SOL and down to 1 less LAN port? I was using all 4, so kind of unfortunate but oh well.
(I don't have anything in LAN 1 right now because I was swapping around, but the device and cable works fine in LAN 1 that's currently swapped back in LAN 4 and doesn't work)
