AX3000 AX54 forgets the password after a few weeks
I have an AX 3000 set as an access point. After a period of time the set password no longer works. This is true even in router mode. I know the answer in reset and start over, but this is time-consuming.
It is a v1 version and up to date firmware.
the router in front of it is an AX 5400 (73) it doesn't have the problem.
Any ideas?

Did you mean you have an Archer AX55 (branded as AX3000) which is configured in AP mode and its admin password is not recognised after a period of time ?
The exact router model is printed on the device bottom sticker - details.
Do you receive a wrong password message or any other error message ? Have you tried to open the router's WenGUI in a browser Incognito Tab / Private Window to bypass its cache ?

What's your browser language ? Set it to English if it's not set already.
Try setting a simpler password - up to 10 alphanumeric characters (no special characters) and check if there's any difference.

@Eesamp language is set to English.
Thanks for the replies.
I'll give it a try, the unit is in my church and I may not get to it for a few days. And, of course I have to reset and re enter the setup information. Then I'll have to wait it out. Might take a few days or several weeks. The last time I logged in that worked was in October. That time it was two weeks after a loss.
Over all, things have been running just fine since I replaced old units with the 5400 and 3000 about a year ago. We use this for church members. The church main router is a Verizon Fios c1000 and the Tp 5400 connects to it.

That's not a normal behavior and the root cause should be found.
Anyone with a physical access to the AX55 can reset the device and set a password that you don't know, just as you did (that's just a suggestion).

@terziyski would be nice to find the cause.
i hope to run over tomorrow and do a reset and try a simple password. Only one other has the capability to do it but is away. I'm a trustee and our group is responsible for infrastructure in the church. I'm retired from Bell Labs but try to keep up with it

@Eesamp I reset the AX3000 and entered a new admin password, 10 characters alpha and one number on Dec 29/23. An hour late I was able to log in no problem. I will be trying to log in on Friday 1/5/24. If it fails again, I will ask for a replacement under the two year warranty.
