The 2.4ghz thing is annoying but not a deal breaker for me, the reboots though are awful. After another one this morning I gave up and reverted to 1.0.9 Build 20231009 rel.40039(5553) beta firmware.

Hi, do you mean the router reboots on its own without scheduled reboot? A previous official firmware seems to have solved similar issue, please confirm which firmware version you were using with the reboot issue.

  @Sunshine 1.0.12 Build 20231117 rel.33787(5553) is the one causing reboots on both my BE800's, going back to 1.0.9 beta you sent me earlier doesn't have this issue.

1.0.12 Build 20231117 rel.33787(5553) == unscheduled/unexpected reboots, sometimes minutes apart. Does seem to be loosely corelated with my wifi 6e (iphone 15 and a macbook m3) devices switching to the device (the be800's are paired in an easymesh). Seeing the unexpected reboots on both be800's.

Easymesh only shows connection between main and satellite router on 5ghz

---

1.0.9 Build 20231009 rel.40039(5553) on main router, 1.0.12 Build 20231117 rel.33787(5553) on satellite router == no reboots on main router (1.0.9), still seeing unexpected reboots on satellite router (1.0.12). Too lazy atm to downgrade the satellite router as the reboots on it do not impact me as much since my devices just switch to main router when it goes down.

Easymesh shows both 2.4 ghz and 5ghz connected between main and satellite router

---

Hope that clarifies things.

So after being bored on day I tried loading 1.0.12 back on the router. This time I did a full power cycle after the upgrade completed (removed power cord and plugged it back in). Haven't seen anymore reboots, so yay.

Also to add, doing a hard power cycle also seemed to fix the 2.4ghz issues I was seeing ``` Link Speed: 826 Mbps (2.4GHz) 1729 Mbps (5GHz) ``` ``` Online Duration: 9 Days 11 Hours 13 Minutes ``` For the first time since I've bought these I have nothing to complain about. Thank you for all the post purchase support and getting these software updates out.

  @Sunshine

I have the same issues with the 2.4 WiFi since out of the box.

everything works fine with the Axe300.

the Be800 definitely has an issue TPlink ought to fix.

I have the same issue with BE800. All 2.4G clients suddenly got disconnected until the router was rebooted manually.

It was random happening almost every week. Very disappointed.

Firmware: 1.1.5 Build 20240528 rel.49883

Except for the 2.4G disconnection, how about the 5G, 6G, and wired connection? Are they stable? If only the 2.4G is disconnecting, try disabling the Smart Connect feature on the BE800, and change the wireless channel for the 2.4GHz network. You can use a Wi-Fi Analyzer app to scan the wireless networks in the area and select a channel with less interference.

BTW, how many devices are connecting to the 2.4G network? What are they?

@Kevin_Z

The 2.4G channel already had less interference. Only clients of 2.4G devices had disconnect issues, which still happened after disabling the Smart Connect feature.

Upgrading the firmware version to 1.1.6 Build 20240808 rel.26673(5553) also did not help.

I have:

10 wired devices: Mac, NAS, PS5, TV, etc.

10 5G/6G devices: Most are Apple products.

30 2.4G devices: All IoT stuff.

All are in a good signal area cover.

The BE800 CPU and memory seem not to be overloaded. It keeps maintaining a 10%/50% average.

Since I don't have a terminal to log in to BE800 to see what's happened, the web console is absolutely poor for getting information, including logs.

I hope you guys can show more log details in the web console or just let us log in to the terminal.

Cheers.

  @s80275

At least in terms of counts my network is fairly similar. I did have to make some changes tho.

Setup dedicated IOT network, also moved any device that didn't support WPA3 over to it

Iot network uses WPA2-PSK[AES]

Under wireless -> additional settings

WMM: Enable

AP Isolation: Disable

Airtime Fairness: Enable

Beacon Interval: 300

RTS Threshold: 1173

DTIM Interval: 1

Group Key Update Period: 3600

(Note you should perform a site survey to understand local conditions to tune appropiately but its a place to start)

@s80275

Thank you very much for all the details.

Could you please try the suggestions provided by eousphoros and move those IoT devices to the IoT Network? Then, observe whether they connect to the network more stably.

BTW, what brands are the IoT devices? Are they all from the same brand?
