WE10800

So I have a deco WE10800, I have gone with support trying to get it to port forward and it just won't. SDDo I want to put them in AP mode since that seems like the only solution to this issue, my question is what is the best router to work with the WE10800 in AP mode?

Hi, welcome to the community.
I have checked the previous support ticket record. Actually, I don't think a new TP-Link router would help with the port forwarding issue for the Subsistence/Steam.
Deco WE10800 is also a router in default mode and for other Deco Mesh models, they would work the same.
Before we consider the Archer series, Could you please help me run a simple test:
1. Connect the laptop which has Steam installed directly to the Spectrum EU2251 cable modem.
(In this way, we have bypassed any routers and there is no need to open any ports)
2. Then check whether you can play with others.
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
best regards.

And as I already told the 2 other techs, it works fine when directly connected to the modem, it also worked fine with my old router, it only stopped working after I installed the decos...

@David-TP So I just tested again, with a new port and for testing purposes a minecraft server, so port: 25565. Just modem, works fine port is opened. Modem and decos, failed connections. port closed
Yes I port forwarded properly through the deco app.

Hi Thanks a lot for the further confirmation.
After checking with the engineers earlier, there are still a few unresolved concerns that still need attention. As we discussed earlier, the port forwarding protocol across Deco products remains quite consistent. If there were any potential bugs on the Deco WE10800, it is likely that similar issues may arise on other models.
In this way, Our engineers kindly request your permission to cooperate with us again. It would be very crucial for them to identify the root cause of the issue and determine if a different model needs to be considered. If it works for you, please refer to the previous support email to get more details and the engineers would be glad to follow up on this matter and provide further assistance.
Thank you very much and best regards.
