Fan noise with transceiver on SFP+ port
Hi, I'm wondering if this is acknowledged issue, but with this model, when transceiver is put in SFP port, the fan goes all the time on (I think) max settings, because I can hear it faintly from 50 meters and loudly from 30. By far the noisiest electronics I have. You don't even have to connect fiber to it, the fan stays on as long as transceiver is there. To me it makes no sense, because unit is silent with using copper on upper port, but fiber is producing way lower heat than copper, and nobody puts copper transceivers on combo ports. I have 2 units, one connected with fiber and one with copper (both 10G) on upper port, the second one is warmer, yet is silent, while fiber one blasts the room with noise. For example, copper ends at 10G (some cables will advertise more, but good luck finding switch/network card with copper above 10G) because it's power hungry and heat producing, but fiber goes 100G and beyond with just passive cooling like Mellanox 100G NIC's . I even tried to move that unit outside, fan still goes the same, so it's not even relevant to temperature, firmware just sets it to max all the time with SFP, which is totally unneded. Please set fan behaviour like upper port, or better yet, allow us to do fan control in Deco app. Right now, I'm thinking about returning or just doing a teardown and cutting power to fan. Please set my mind on ease with at least acknowledging the issue and a promise for firmware update. :) Thanks

@Renive The Beta did also resolve my problem, so thanks a lot! I also had contact with the TP-Link Support. After some discussions, the provided me with the same Beta-Version. Their explanation is that:
"Optical SFP modules generate considerable heat. In our tests, some third-party optical modules quickly heated up to over 60°C shortly after commissioning. Since the SFP+ optical modules have exposed metal surfaces, we are concerned about the risk of burns when plugging or unplugging SFP+ devices during this high temperature phase. Therefore, we decided to activate the fans continuously to cool the SFP modules and ensure that the temperature does not rise too high.
As long as the SFP+ port is plugged in, the fan will operate, which is the expected behavior.
