Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.7 Build 20230728 Rel. 54059

Hello I have a 3 pack of the Deco XE75's. I have a Netgear 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS305) to it.  Whenever I have to reboot the XE75 it will not connect after rebooting. I have to unplug the unmanaged switch , reboot it again and then it will connect. I can then plug the switch back in. This is really annoying. I had an issue last night where the power went out in the middle of the night and when I woke up this morning I had no internet. I unplugged the switched, rebooted the router and I was back up and running. Anyone know why this is happening?  Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

  @BillsDunk,

Just to be sure, the network switch is placed between the Main Deco and the satellite nodes, correct? There should only be one coming from your modem and it should go directly into your main Deco node.

Can you provide a bit more detail regarding the order and layout of your devices?

I would also recommend trying to use a different ethernet on the main Deco which attaches to the switch while testing.

  @BillsDunk Can you try a different switch (should be a TPlink one for better compatibility), cause Tplink's Ethernet backhaul adopts the IEEE 1905.1 standard so those switches without this standard may encounter incompatible issues. I personally have some business switches and have been experiencing some reboots out of nowhere or package lost/ broadcasting storms. I'm not sure if those switches adopt IEEE 1905.1 or not but removing them from the network improves the network a lot, I haven't seen any reboots since then. Here are some topics about this, the Netgear that you have seems to work with Deco mesh but maybe try something else to rule out the issue from your Deco untis.

I have the Ethernet cable from the modem going to the Deco in the computer room. Then from the Deco in the computer I have of the outlets going to the switch and the other port on the Deco goes to my Tivo.

  @BillsDunk Mind if I ask how did it go? I have a tplink 2.5gpbs and it still sometimes dropped connection for 1 satellite unit. Let me know if that works for you.

  @BillsDunk That's good to know. I found my culprit too, it's not the tplink switch.
