Deco Configuration Backup
Seems like this has been requested many times across the Deco line, but there is no backup function for my Deco unit. I've checked in the mobile app and browser.
Many many reasons why this is a must have already been shared.
For me, it took me many hours to add all my DHCP reservations, update device names, etc inside the mobile app. It is imperative that we be able to back up all of this configuration work. Many stories of people losing all their work as their main unit crashes.
I read on one single thread that config data may be stored in the TPLink cloud. I haven't been able to find any other evidence to support this. Is this true?

@DezM I temporarily disabled my 5GHz network and connected my IoT Devices then re-enabled it and they have been solidly connected without issue. Haven't tried the dedicated IoT network settings yet so not sure if they will behave the same or differently in that case.
Also, are you listening TP-Link? (probably not) how difficult is it to allow export and import of reserved IPs? It's literally a text/csv file.

@PavPev I did that. Made my network 2.4GHz only with WPA2 security. Still didn't work.
Then I created the loT Network. I made it 2.4GHz only with WPA2 security. Cameras still don't connect. Yet, they connected with my old Netgear Orbi mesh w/o issue.

How long do we have to wait for a simple backup and restore solution especially for this price point as Decos?

@ThorinDwarf 100% agree. I've tinkered my Deco 63 to work perfectly with my network and 40+ devices.
I would like to Export my settings to a file in case I ever have to restore my configuration.

@jpt60 I totally agree, I can't believe this isn't a feature, after spending several hours resetting my system ! With that omission and the lack of preferred connection for nearest device I am really regretting buying this system😩. Even virgin media modem which is several years old and as slow as a snail has a backup option.

Well, it appears that TP-Link is not listening and not responding. As far as I am concerned, this is the very last TP-Link device I bought. Customer service is non-existant. Useless brand.

@xjsimon
É desesperador pagar caro por uma "solução", passar horas configurando portas, reservas de IP, nomes de dispositivos e não ter como salvar essas configurações para restaurá-las em casos de falhas, perda do equipamento, etc.
Piora quanto, no meio do processo o equipamento simplesmente trava e perde TODA a rede e temos que começar tudo do zero.
Decepcionado, arrependido, receoso!

It would seem that nobody at TP-Link is taking this seriously. The issue has been around for so long, and no resolution has been provided.
It probably shows what kind of company TP-Link is, and how little they care about their customers after they bought their stuff.
I for one will certainly remember next time, and steer away from TP-Link.

@xjsimon After a major power/network outage, I started seriously considering buying a new router. Luckily I got it working again. A configuration backup is such a basic function, it is hard to believe Deco does not have it. I would have avoided another Deco without this feature. Give me access to your code and I'll add the function for you!!
