Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.12

Just got a brand new Archer 3000 / AX50 set up.  Unchecking "Allow Pings from the WAN Port" has no effect even after a reboot.  I can still ping my WAN IP.  I need a reason not to send this thing back for a full refund by tonight...

The hell with it. This thing cannot even do Security 101. Not surprising from communist China. Back in the box it goes. I can cross TP Link off the list going forward.

Hello, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.

The model no. of your router is Archer AX50, right?

May I know if you were trying to ping the WAN IP from local network or from external network? and did you enable "Allow Pings from the LAN Port"?
