Seem like the only way to resolve this issue was resetting all of the deco's by pressing the reset button on the bottom of the routers. Once I have finished resetting all the routers, I wired only the main router and establish a connection then added the rest of the decos. After updating to 1.2.5, seems like all decos will need to be reset again after the new firmware has been added to the routers which seems to keep a stable connection.

  @SocorroC I finally had enough of the 1.2.5 firmeware trouble shooting and downgraded to 1.2.2. Everything is working as before. Next time  I'll give it a few months to see how stable the new firmware is.

I'm using 2 of my 3 Decos & the signal is lost sporadically. Saturday I had no signal for a couple of hours & today I've had no signal most of the day. I think this started when it updated last week. I've rebooted them both to no avail. I'm not very techy so some of the suggestions that you've given are over my head. I'm at a loss & very frustrated as I can't watch TV, my cameras aren't working & my internet is extremely slow because my AT&T router/modem is upstairs & doesnt get a good signal downstairs. Please help!

  @MelVit Hi. I'm sorta techie and was able to follow the instructions provided in the firmware download.

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-xe5300/v1.60/#Firmware

You'll need the LAN IP address of your DECO, which is in the app, and the password to your account to log in using a web browser but after that it's just a matter of uploading the bin file from the folder.

By reverting to 1.2.2 my connection is solid.

Good Luck

  @scott97062 thank you! I reset the units per another user's post & now the units aren't red, but blinking blue which means they are ready to set up. I tried to get them set up again & couldn't get them to work.  I'll try the firmware download tomorrow.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

The unstable issue on 1.2.5 of Deco XE5300 V1 has been fixed on 1.2.6 which will be released very soon. Please pay attention to the official website.

If you want to test this firmware, here is an early-access version of 1.2.6:

Deco XE5300 v1-1.2.6_build_20230613

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

I loaded 1.2.6 this morning and at a glance things appear to be normal. Of the 34 devices connected I did have one, a GE cloths washer, that took a little convincing to connect. If anything changes I'll post.

  @David-TP

hi I'm having the same issues reported here but I'm on 1.2.6  rel 52821.  It randomly drops internet and it's happening more frequently now for the last week and a half.  Should I try to revert to a previous version or is there any steps I can try?

I'm having the same thing on the latest firmware. This is a new setup for me though - I have nine deco units and it seems that anytime 1 deco goes offline for a second, all others seem to lose connectivity for a few minutes. This creates a pretty unstable network. I know my use case is different with more than usual number of decos, but the symptoms are the same as reported in this thread.
