XE5300 Consistently dropping connection
XE5300 Consistently dropping connection
Receiving a firmware update for the XE5300 from 1.1.11 to 1.2.2 and the connection has not been stable ever since the upgrade. Is there any way to downgrade the firmware?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
The unstable issue on 1.2.5 of Deco XE5300 V1 has been fixed on 1.2.6 which will be released very soon. Please pay attention to the official website.
If you want to test this firmware, here is an early-access version of 1.2.6:
Deco XE5300 v1-1.2.6_build_20230613
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

Hi, Welcome to the community.
the firmware downgrade needs to be done via firmware recovery:
It is also suggested to refer to the following troubleshooting advice:
Fix unstable connection when connected to the Deco network (case one)
And our engineers have paid high attention to the 1.2.0 firmware feedback. if you would like to spend a little more time, I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers directly. Could you please help me check the following details:
1. May I know who is your internet service provider?
2. Would the main Deco XE5300 turn red when the internet dropped out?
3. Could you please save a screenshot of the IPV4 page under Deco APP>More>Internet connection when the internet dropped again?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

I'm having the same issue on both 1.1.11 and 1.2.2 firmware. I've tried to downgrade via the web UI but it won't allow it... Please, fix this issue with the firmware. Did not have this problem on 1.1.10.

Having the same problem with one of my XE5300 units. Five total units in my mesh network. I had to remove the device from the network and reinstall twice in the last week.

I have the X55 3 node system and have had intermittent dropouts several times a day for the past week or more since updating to firmware 1.2.5 build 2023051rel 67294. It was rock solid prior to this. Daily reboot schedule doesn't seem to be helping.

Hi, welcome to the community.
I also checked your post on the US station and so far, I think it might still be too early to say the disconnection is caused by the 1.2.x firmware upgrade.
@NBsr70 I noticed your description is quite like maheshgv and both of you have 5*Deco XE5300. You both seemed also mentioned the disconnection might be more related to one satellite Deco XE5300.
Later if you do not mind, I would like to follow up on your case via email so that I could forward the cases to the engineers if needed.
PS: In case you don't have enough time for troubleshooting, the firmware downgrade from 1.2.2 to 1.1.11 could be accomplished via firmware recovery-HTTP Uboot Method.
At the same time, could you please help me check the following details:
- Did all the Deco units keep solid green during the disconnection?
- Would the disconnection be more frequent on one satellite Deco XE5300?
- Did the disconnection randomly happen to all the mobile clients, or mainly on several devices?
(If mainly on several devices, can I have their models?)
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Hi, welcome to the community.
If the issue started with 1.1.11, your case might be a little bit different from others.
Can I have more details about the disconnection issue? like the LED status on each Deco? would the disconnection happen to all the mobile clients or mainly on several devices?
It would be highly appreciated if you could refer to this link Fix unstable connection when connected to the Deco network to help me check which one is quite like your current issue.
And @BigfootDouble Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback. Since the current information is quite limited, could you please refer to the above information to help me confirm more details as well?

@David78721 Hi, since Deco X55 used a different chipset solution and firmware 1.2.5 hasn't been released to Deco XE5300, Could you please start a new thread here with the following details, or you could also send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com:
1. Did you update the firmware 1.2.5 of Deco X55 from 1.2.2?
2. Could you please also help me check which description here is quite like yours?
3. Could you please refer to this link to help me get the current network map and signal source on the Deco X55, such as:

@David-TP when the disconnects happen it happens on the whole network on all nodes. Devices connected to the main via an Ethernet switch and wifi clients connected to different nodes via ethernet backhaul. iPhones will ask to switch to cellular and a gaming console will lag out during online play. Voice and video chats on MS teams will also either lag or others can not hear or see me for about 1 to 2 minutes.
as I mentioned when I first purchase these devices and updated to the 1.1.10 I did not experience any problems.
