Archer AX55 V1 Firmware 1.2.2 Build 20230511 dropping internet daily
Received a notification of new firmware and updated to 1.2.2 Build 20230511 5 days ago. Since then we have had loss of internet at the router 4 times over 4 days. In my troubleshooting I noticed that when I tried to login to the router to check status, it presented the login, accepted pass but would never load the interface. Speeds are normal and ping to router is 1ms so seems the connection is good. The problem seems to be at the router itself.
Has anyone else had a similar issue with connections since upgrading to this firmware? It is the only change that has been made and never had this issue prior. I wanted to get some input prior to reverting the firmware.

Hello,
If anyone experiences a similar dropping internet issue after upgrading the AX55's firmware to the latest 1.2.2 version, please help confirm and provide the following details, and we will have a specialist look into this further with the top priority.
1. Who is your ISP, and what kind of WAN Connection Type you're using on the AX55?
2. Do you connect any EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders to the network? How many extenders? What are the models?
Note: If there are EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders in the network, please verify if the devices are connected to the AX55 wireless network or connected to the extenders' when they drop the internet.
3. Do you remember the previous stable version of firmware for AX55? Is it the previous 1.1.8 version?
4. How about the LED status on the AX55 when the internet drops on some wireless client devices? Can you login to the web management page of the AX55 when there is no internet on the wireless clients but it still shows connected to the network?
If the dropping issue doesn't come with the AX55 firmware update, please follow these troubleshooting suggestions to solve it:

@Kevin_Z I have 3 RE505X mesh extenders, I lost them in the UI when the firmware upgraded to 1.2.2 and had to add them again. Using TDS as a provider and fiber Ethernet. Previous stable release was the one before this one as I have the router auto-upgrade. Internet connectivity light goes out when Internet connectivity goes out as well as the admin UI is inaccessible. The new symptom is that after some time, at least last night, the router recovered and is functioning again. This is the first time I've been able to see this and confirm it did happen as I had no Internet in the middle of the night.

Thank you so much for the detailed information. As per your description about the dropping internet last night, it seems the WAN connection was temporarily down since the internet LED is off. But please don't worry, the engineer will help look into it further and figure it out soon. Please keep in touch with them via email.

Will this downgrade firmware be made available on the TP-Link support page for the AX55, or will it only be availble to those with active support tickets open. I am experiencing the same issues as many others on this forum, so i haven't gone through the process to open a support ticket.

Hello @BamBam13
Nope, it cannot be downgraded directly with another firmware. It will require further help from the support engineers.
Can you please help provide some more details as I posted above? I will help escalate your case to the support engineer with a high priority, then they can help with it efficiently.

I had the Archer AX55 for exactly a year as a home router with wireless disabled. I have s separate mesh wireless network with Ruckless. I had zero issues for a year early this week when Internet started dropping few times daily. My ISP is Spectrum. I contact them today just to confirm from their logs on my modem last 3 days and there are no connectivity issues.
Looking at this forum, I indeed got the latest build 1.2.2 Build 20230511. I did not realize I have AutoUpdate enabled so my previous build has to be the last one before this latest version.
I like to get help downgrading to previous version.
Thanks.

Kevin, Here are my responses to your questions.
ISP is Spectrum, 500 Mb/s cable connection, GE interface to WAN connection on router
2. Do you connect any EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders to the network? How many extenders? What are the models?
Note: If there are EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders in the network, please verify if the devices are connected to the AX55 wireless network or connected to the extenders' when they drop the internet.
I disabled the wireless function on router, no extenders. I have a separate wireless mesh networks using Ruckless Wireless.
3. Do you remember the previous stable version of firmware for AX55? Is it the previous 1.1.8 version?
I don't know the previous version but I have "autoupdate" of firmware enabled since I installed the router a year ago so must be the version prior to 1.2.2
Prior to this latest update, I had no issues with this router.
4. How about the LED status on the AX55 when the internet drops on some wireless client devices? Can you login to the web management page of the AX55 when there is no internet on the wireless clients but it still shows connected to the network?
Internet connectivity lights went out during outage and I cannot login on to the web management page.

I am having these issues as well. The router will kill off the connection to all of my devices slowly and then I won't be able to log into it via Tether despite the lights being on. I also have an AX55 and an AX1800
