Deco satellite will only connect to 2.4ghz signal
Deco satellite will only connect to 2.4ghz signal compared to other satellite which is connected to both 2.4ghz/5ghz/6ghz. Causing significant slow down

This is normally a result of simply where the satellite deco is placed. The 2.4Ghz has a much much further range than the 5 and 6Ghz networks and is able to pass through obstacles such as walls or appliances much better than the other frequencies. It is not uncommon to see satellites use this frequency as the 5 and 6Ghz will become unstable when passing through multiple walls or if interference is introduced.
Overall, the interference introduced by your other devices or the thickness of your walls can have a drastic effect on any wireless connection, this is why it is recommended to create a wired backhaul between nodes whenever possible. If your node is using the 2.4GHz network for its backhaul, the distance is the most likely cause, as the Decos will choose the fastest band that can provide a stable connection.
If you try moving the satellite deco closer to the main router, does the unit connect over the other frequencies?

@Riley_S yes it has been moved closer to the router and when it does connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, the speed test shows below 10mpbs download

Hmm, so its defintely most likely a range issue when it comes to the 5GHz connection - If you have thicker walls, its not unreasonable to see steep dropoffs in speed after leaving the room with the router.
The speed test would be the main concern now, at least if you are paying for a high-speed connection.
First, try performing a speed test on a wired device to the satellite node, this will give the best indicator of overall speeds. There has been a recent bug in the app where the speed tests can show incorrect values - so its always best to confirm with another service such as fast.com - Try performing the same test while wired directly to the main node to see how the speeds compare and to see what the difference is.
I would also check your QoS settings in the Deco App. you may try to either disable the QoS setting, or you can manually set the speed that you expect to see from your ISP. If the speed is much lower than expected, your network may be limiting connections to save bandwidth for other devices.
