I'm trying to set my adapter to monitor mode in Kali Linux, but keep getting the error below.

 

Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
    SET failed on device wlan0

I wanted to add a (potentially) important detail that did not paste correctly earlier..."invalid argument".

 

Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
    SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.
