I have a TP-Link Archer AX11000 802.11ax Tri-band gaming router that is connected to over 30 devices in our house.  I recently replaced our COX cable modem that had 1 Gbps internet with an AT&T BGW320-505 Fiber modem with 2.5 Gbps internet and built-in router, with assurances that using the "IP Passthrough" feature on the AT&T unit would allow me to continue to use my TP-Link router with all of the wired and wireless connected devices intact.

After following instructions from AT&T, including enabling IP Passthrough and disabling the AT&T router Wi-Fi, I still cannot get any Wi-Fi working on the TP-link router.  Does anyone have any experience with AT&T Fiber gateways with built-in router and a TP-Link AX11000 router to get them to work together?

As I read online, there is no other requirement when connecting a third-party router to the AT&T BGW320 fiber modem, just select IP passthrough for the connected device and connect them together. You can choose to disable all WiFi features of the AT&T system to avoid any chance of interference. Remember to reboot the AT&T system as well as the AX11000.

Is there a WAN IP address on the AX11000 after this configuration and reboot? How about the LED on the AX11000?

  @Liverpool20

Thanks for the advice.  Yes, the WAN IP address on the AX11000 was the same as the AT&T "fiber gateway" device.  I tried everything I could think of and worked with an AT&T specialist for a long while, then also rebooted both systems multiple times after making changes. The best we could do was to get the Wi-Fi somewhat working through the AX11000, but we completely lost access to the TP-Link web interface (connected from the AX10000 by Ethernet directly to my laptop), so I could not check any speeds, make any configuration changes, or even see what was still connected.

I finally gave up on getting the IP Passthrough to work cleanly and have decided to cut my losses in setup and equipment (hundreds of dollars of TP-Link devices) and migrate everything over to the AT&T system.  The AT&T fiber gateway/router only has 4 Ethernet ports, so I may have to add a switch to get everything on my home network working again, but without a solution from TP-Link directly I think I'm stuck.  I was told by several people at AT&T, before buying the fiber internet, that the IP Passthrough would work with my router, but I have nothing in writing and I don't want to give up the AT&T fiber 2.5 Gbps download and upload speeds.  Live and learn frown.
