Model: RE220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Most Recent

I have had an RE220 for over two years. It no longer connects to my router (Verizon MI424) no matter what I do - upgrade firmware, restore factory defaults, etc. After a reset the RE220 says it found my home network, tries to connect, then the wifi connection drops, and I cannot do anything with it without another reset. I have not changed my home setup in years. I called tp-link tech support. They claimed they knew what the issue was but wanted to charge me $150. That does not make sense for a $30 range extender. When I say no, they just hung up on me!  I looked in all the FAQs and tried everything. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Frustrated User.

  @MichaelAP,

Can you DM me where you found the support number that you called? It sounds as though you may not have been in contact with our official support. Make sure to use the information listed at: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/ to get in contact with someone from TP-Link.

I would make an attempt to move your Range Extender closer to your router. the signal strength may be too far away from the router, or subject to too much interference that may not have existed when the RE was set up. When the network drops on the RE, what is the status of the LED lights
