Model: Deco X90
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20210722 Rel. 65801

My Deco X90 is making thousands of request per hour to avira.com domains dfp.safethings.avira.com and ast.safethings.avira.com. The device has the latest firmware accoridng to https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-x90/v1/#Firmware and I do not have HomeShield Pro, Parental Controls, or QoS service enabled. According to https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/263256 this is a known bug that has been fixed on some but not all models. When can a fix for this issue be expected for the X90?

@Heidi_Alp thanks for the info!

For installing beta firmware on the X90 it looks like I'll need to follow How to use firmware recovery if the Deco become brick, is that correct? Or is there some other way to install the beta firmware without reseting the device completely?

Oops -- I discovered the X90 does actually have a web interface for firmware updates. Installed the beta and it resolves the issue. Thanks!
